Pullman Summer Clay Camp: July 30-31 & August 1: Celestial Sun, Moon, and Zodiac Sign Ceramics

Campers will utilize slab-building and other beginner sculpting techniques to create pottery that is simply out of this world.

Day One: During the first day of “camp” tweens and kids will learn the basics of pottery and become oriented to the studio and how to use our tools, equipment and share a community studio, in addition to starting their slab-building process of creating and carving unique space or zodiac-themed pottery.

Day Two: Students will resume their ceramic work, paying special attention to finishing touches, and preparing their pottery for the drying process.

Day Three: Students are encouraged to create what inspires them, using the skills they’ve developed over the previous two days. Possible projects include mugs, vases, sculptures and more.

Prices include all instruction, clay, tools, kiln firing, and dip-glazing. Pottery is generally ready to glaze two weeks after creating.

Campers are grouped with peers to ensure positive, age-appropriate projects, instruction, and social experiences.

Camps occur Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Add Friday for a bonus day of wheel lessons, fused glass creations or custom glazing project for $49.
