Pullman Summer Clay Camp: June 25-27: Stars & Stripes Cake Stands

Kids and tweens will create functional, patriotic pottery and follow their inspiration to customize their work with instructional support from the Terracotta team.

Day One: Tweens and kids will learn the basics of pottery and become oriented to the studio and how to use our tools, equipment and share a community studio, in addition to starting their slab-building process of creating an original cake stand.

Day Two: Students will resume their work, paying special attention to sculpting fine details and finishing touches.

Day Three: Students will be encouraged to create pottery that inspires them, using the skills they’ve developed over the previous two days. These projects could include mugs, vases, piggy banks, miniatures and more.

Prices include all instruction, clay, tools, kiln firing, and dip glazing. Pottery is ready to glaze about two weeks after camp.

Campers are grouped with peers to ensure positive, age-appropriate projects, instruction, and social experiences.

Camps occur Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Add Friday for a bonus day of wheel lessons, fused glass creations or custom glazing project for $49.
