Food safe, dishwasher safe, and pretty enough for decoration, our workshop empowers artists of all abilities to create custom sugar and stirring spoons. They make truly adorable personalized handmade gifts for friends and family, or perfect to keep and enjoy with your tea and coffee each morning.
In this beginner-friendly pottery class, students can make up to six spoons.
All clay, firing and dip-glazing included.
Artists under 12 are invited to participate with an accompanying adult. Be sure to book a seat for each person. Pottery is ready to glaze approximately two weeks after creating, and ready to take home and use a week after glazing.
Because of the fragile nature of protrusions on pottery-- like the spoon handles--it is likely that not every spoon created in the workshop will make it through the entire process of drying, firing, glazing and firing again intact. That's why we start by making multiples in the workshop--so the odds are in our favor of having a few at the very end.
