Tidepool bowls with aqua-scapes, ceramic starfish and a life-size fish-shaped platter Campers will utilize slab-building and other beginner sculpting techniques to create pottery that we can’t wait to sea!
Day One: Tweens and kids will learn the basics of pottery and become oriented to the studio and how to use our tools, equipment and share a community studio, in addition to starting their slab-building process of creating a life-size fish platter.
Day Two: Students will resume their ceramic work, paying special attention to finishing touches, and preparing their pottery for the drying process.
Day Three: Students are encouraged to create what inspires them, using the skills they’ve developed over the previous two days.
Prices include all instruction, clay, tools, kiln firing, and dip glazing. Pottery is generally ready to glaze two weeks after creating, and take home a week after glazing.
